THE COMPANY
Evolutta Agro is a Brazilian Biotechnology Company that develops sprayable dsRNA-based products that are efficient, safe, stable, and low-cost, designed to control the main crop pests. The company is inaugurating a new mode of action with a favorable toxicological and ecotoxicological profile, serving as an important tool for Insect Resistance Management (IRM). Its solutions can be used alone or combined with existing technologies — such as pesticides (chemical and biological compounds) and transgenic plants — to increase efficacy, delay obsolescence/resistance, and reduce cross-resistance of pests to transgenic plants.
THE MANAGEMENT TEAM
Evolutta's founders bring decades of experience working for the world's largest Multinational Companies in Agribusiness and other sectors, in areas such as molecular biology, genetics, plant breeding, R&D, Biotechnology, Product Regulation and Registration, Institutional Affairs, Finance, Legal, IPO, Commercial, and Business Management.
EVOLUTTA AGRO'S SOLUTIONS
Evolutta Agro has developed a new RNAi technology (international patent already filed) that enables the development of a new category of sprayable products for the market — products that until now could not be used in agriculture due to instability under field conditions and high production costs. The sprayable RNAi products developed by the Company are effective, stable, low-cost to manufacture, capable of covering large agricultural areas, safe, non-toxic, and have no environmental impact. They can be used alone or combined with existing technologies.
EFFICACY AND FLEXIBILITY
Products based on this new and disruptive RNAi technology will be sprayed over major crops to control the most important pests and diseases, maintaining a green footprint with a very positive impact on agricultural production systems, the environment, and food security. They will be applied alone or combined with existing technologies as a new tool for Insect Resistance Management and to restore the susceptibility of insect populations in agricultural regions. No special spraying technology will be required — they will be applied with the same equipment commonly used by farmers.
THE FUTURE
Due to the company's high research and development capacity, new platforms — such as CRISPR, DNA shuffling, TALEN, and others — will be developed to create sprayable products and transgenic plants that can be customized to meet the needs of virtually any crop, pest, or disease, taking into account the particularities of different geographic regions.
